Thuryaa Women’s Drums Ensemble delivered a vibrant and culturally rich performance at the Indo–Lanka Handicrafts and Cultural Festival 2025, an event organized by the National Crafts Council of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commission of India in Colombo.
Set against a backdrop that celebrated the artistic heritage of both nations, the drummers brought the stage to life with energetic rhythms and graceful movement. Their shimmering gold costumes and traditional drums added a striking visual presence, blending Sri Lankan percussion artistry with the spirit of cultural unity.
The performance symbolized the deep-rooted connection between India and Sri Lanka, showcasing the power of music and traditional craft in strengthening bilateral friendship. With synchronized beats and captivating stage presence, Thuryaa added a dynamic, memorable highlight to this year’s festival, honoring craftsmanship, culture, and the shared artistic heritage of the two countries.
